About the Course
Detailed Course Description
This course is designed to equip teachers and school staff with practical, evidence‑based tools to manage occupational stress, prevent burnout, and cultivate a sustainable sense of professional wellbeing. Drawing on current research in positive psychology, mindfulness‑based stress reduction, and trauma‑informed practice, participants engage with strategies that are immediately applicable within any classroom or school setting.
Over five rich, experiential days, educators explore the relationship between their own emotional regulation and the learning environment they create. They develop personal resilience plans, practise mindfulness and breathing techniques, and learn to embed wellbeing routines into daily classroom life, not as an add‑on, but as an integral part of effective teaching.
A significant emphasis is placed on inclusive and compassionate communication: how teachers speak with students, colleagues, and parents can either amplify or reduce stress across the whole school community. Participants practise non‑violent communication, de‑escalation strategies, and positive framing techniques in safe, supported role‑play and group activities.
The course also addresses systemic factors, workload, leadership culture, and peer support, and supports participants in returning to their schools as change agents who can positively influence staff wellbeing beyond their own classroom. Each participant leaves with a personalised action plan, a curated toolkit of resources, and membership of an international peer network for ongoing support.
